Elsyca's 3D simulation platform for the design and optimization of cathodic protection systems for submerged structures enables managing operational costs as well as significantly reducing expensive commissioning surveys and costly repairs.
The platform is based upon a Finite Element Model (FEM). It is used to solve the potential model, taking into account ohmic drop effects in the electrolyte and cabling as well as non-linear polarization behaviour at both the cathode and anode. Both ICCP and SACP systems can be optimized in order to minimize the underwater electrical potential and corrosion related magnetic signature.
Full CAD integration of the software offers a unique user-friendly interface for the CP design. Multi-domain/multi-layer analysis, sacrificial anode shape change, straightforward input of polarization data are unequalled features of this advanced simulation technology. Another strongly appraised feature is the integrated Elsyca XPlorer software, enabling interactively displaying computed results.
